Feeling moved
Feeling moved means being stirred by something you saw, heard or were told, often a kindness, a piece of music or someone’s story, and your eyes may fill.

What does feeling moved feel like?
A lump in your throat at a friend’s wedding speech. A catch in your breath when a whole crowd sings together, or when a child hands you a drawing made just for you. Being moved often takes people by surprise: it comes fast, from something small, and it can leave you quiet for a while afterward.
Moved or tender?
Moved is a response to a moment: something happens, it reaches you, and the feeling rises and fades. Tender is a lasting softness toward someone, with a wish to hold them gently. A film can move you to tears without anyone in it being yours to look after. Tenderness usually has a person, an animal or something small at its center.
