Journal prompts for self-reflection and gratitude
One gentle question at a time. Take your time; there’s no right answer.
Gratitude
What is one quiet, ordinary thing from today that felt like an unexpected gift?
It could be the warmth of your mug, a beam of dust dancing in sunlight, or clean bedsheets.

How to use these journal prompts
Pick a theme, or leave it on All. Read the question slowly, then write whatever comes first, even if it’s only one line. If a question doesn’t fit today, ask for another. You’ll see every question in a theme before any of them comes around again.
Gratitude journal prompts
The gratitude prompts ask about small, specific things: a sound, a taste, a corner of your home, a person who steadies you. A specific answer is easier to write than a general one, and nicer to read back later.
Journal prompts for self-reflection
The self-reflection prompts ask how you’d move through the week if you weren’t rushing, where you say yes out of habit, and what contentment looks like without other people’s expectations. Nobody reads your answers but you.
Where your answers are kept
Answers are saved in this browser, on this device only. They aren’t sent to us. That also means clearing your browser’s data erases them, and they won’t appear on your other devices. If an answer matters to you, copy it somewhere safe.
If a question brings up something heavy
Writing can stir up hard feelings. That’s normal, and you can stop at any time. A journal isn’t a replacement for talking to someone, and if you’re struggling, free support is here.
